Who’s behind Mad Art Materials?

I’m Josh Hernandez, aka Mad Charcoal. I started this brand because I needed better tools for my own work, so I built them. Every product here is something I personally stand behind and use in the studio.

What makes your charcoal different?

It hits harder, darker blacks, smoother blends, and full control. These materials were dialed in through tons of testing until they matched the quality I needed for pro-level portraits and big impact.

Can I trust the quality?

100%. If I wouldn’t use it in my own art, I wouldn’t sell it. We’ve shipped to many artists around the world, and we take feedback seriously. If anything’s off, we’ll fix it.

Is this just for advanced artists?

Do you ship worldwide?
