Perfect for creation.
I've tried a lot of papers throughout my career, and the one used in this Drawing Pad is easily one of my top three. Charcoal sticks and blends perfectly, while its warm yellowish tone and subtle texture make the drawings feel as though they were made years ago, giving them an aged, almost classical quality. It's just amazing!
Great Paper for Charcoal
I’ve been really impressed with the MAD Drawing Pad from Mad Art Materials. I’ve been using it for charcoal drawing and have found the paper excellent to work on. It has a lovely surface that takes charcoal really well, allowing me to build up tones, create subtle shading and achieve strong contrasts without the paper feeling too delicate.
The quality of the paper makes drawing a real pleasure, and I particularly like how well it responds to both light and heavier applications of charcoal. It’s a great-quality drawing pad

Nice drawing pad. Great for graphite and works with charcoal. Slightly off white makining it good where you don’t want brilliant whites in the highlights, e.g. portraits. Does not hold as much charcoal as some watercolour papers I use but then it is much cheaper. I do wish it had a perforated edge allowing for removal of the page in an easy to frame size. It would be great for sketching and handing out pictures on the go! Also would benefit from cardboard packaging or at least a do not bend sticker, as I had to flattern the pad prior to use due to poor handling in the post. But it did flattern back easily.

Big yes! As paper prices rise I really appreciate that Mad charcoal has a great option. Nice quality for sure!
Excellent , would like to see a bigger size and perforated tear off but the paper is great , hold deep blacks.
The drawing pads are awesome. So elegant, beautiful, and the paper is perfect, amazing! Perfect size and weight. I love it!
